Powerful Words that Successful/Rich people use
People have differing individual beliefs about being rich and spending or saving money.
Some people think getting rich is evil. As funny or surprising as that sounds, it's reality; there are actually people who think so. Some wvw think it is sin
Meanwhile, many others are poor because cannot go through or put themselves or their minds through what it takes to become rich - they just won't make a move either for fear or laziness. They do not take time to rationalize the big difference between demerits of poverty and the merits of riches and wealth. The poor have a mindset.
The Rich's mindset makes him think in a way that makes him rich or richer.
What you think and say often tends to determine your actions and then, your future. Simply put: your mindset determines your assets.
In this article...
I'll show you 3 Powerful Words the successful/rich people use everyday.
1. NO!
Yes, you just read that— 'No!'.
Steve Jobs said, "people think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying NO to the hundred other good ideas that are".
Most people think that life is about knowing what to do, but it's often about knowing what not to do because most times you won't know what to do, but what not to do is very clear.
The truly successful people know how to say
- NO to little things
- NO to time-wasting
- NO to too many pleasures
- NO to negative things
- NO to negative people or friends
- NO to over-eating
- NO to too much sleep
NO to a hundred business ideas that distracts you from the present one we are working on.
"One friend told me that her big takeaway from 3 years and $11,000 of therapy was learning how to say NO" - Kelly Corrigan.
The things our bodies naturally prefer are usually useless pleasures, except we are disciplined and say NO! The body enjoys them without warning you they're dangerous.
Say NO to things that do not worth it — in fact, most things that we get attracted don't worth it. Usually there are many options, you have to choose one and say NO to others.
Say NO:
- To useless internet contents or clickbaits
- To time-wasting games or movies
- To some friendship (think we'll before doing this)
If not, you'll waste too much time and emotions on many things for NOTHING.
2. HOW?
Popular Neurosurgeon, Dr Ben Carson's mother used to work in the rich homes and soon discovered that everyone of those rich people had a library. She got back home and convinced her children to read everyday. That was how she raised the world reknown, Dr Ben Carson.
Charles T. Monger said, "In my whole life, I have known no wise people who didn't read all the time".
The Rich and successful always asks 'HOW' — how does that work? How did the man do it? What's Coca-Cola's success history? What's China's development history? What's his biography?
People who ask HOW and read a lot to find the answer never remain the same after every discovery and can apply them maximally to their lives.
Use the word everyday. Be curious! But, don't just be; make sure you find your answers. Nonetheless, don't search for facts that aren't necessary. Say NO to useless HOWs.
3. ASSET
Anytime the Rich or the person with the Rich mindset wants to spend, 'asset' is what comes first to mind. He considers if what he is spending on is ultimately beneficial, if it's going to contribute well, directly or indirectly to their future.
It's an asset if:
- If it can make more money
- If it can help me become more productive
- If it can make me healthier and smarter, etc
Too much entertainment or fun content isn't an asset. Many people spend their time dong things that have no ultimate value or asset (unknowing to them) because they never think and evaluate what they do.
Conclusion
- Learn to say NO! to little things that do not help you in the long run or that you do not need.
- Use the word HOW. Seek to know, read books, histories. History gives insights into the future. Study and learn how some successful people became so.
- Understand the difference between assets and liabilities.
- Look at your friends and review them. Look at your time. Minimize entertainment. You don't need entertainment for 5 hours everyday.
